You couldn’t dream up a more amazing property listing than the one I’ve found in Burford, a small village in Oxfordshire.

Seriously, I want to immediately cut out these pictures and add them to my vision board. This property is such a great one to kick off Pub & Property because it encapsulates so many things that I love about the British countryside: the worn-in study, an overflowing garden, a spacious and warm kitchen, and so much charm.

Have a tour below and see for yourself:

The Location

The village of Fulbrook, known for its 12th-century church and celebrated pub, The Carpenters Arms, is a gateway to the Cotswolds’ finest.

Just a short stroll away, the medieval town of Burford offers a delightful mix of boutique shops, artisan cafes, and award-winning restaurants. Whether you’re exploring the local footpaths or savoring a pint by the fire, this is countryside living at its most sophisticated.

Pub Recommendation: The Carpenter’s Arms

The Carpenter’s Arms is a quintessential 17th-century pub that exudes warmth and history. With oak-beamed ceilings, a roaring fireplace, and a menu filled with locally-sourced dishes, it’s the perfect spot to relax after a day exploring the countryside. Their Sunday roast is a local favorite, and the welcoming atmosphere will make you feel right at home.

They also have an amazing outdoor garden and dining area — perfect for those warm Summer days.
